Jarrod Evans sealed a 24-23 win for Wales over Japan, with a last minute penalty. Here are the matches most key moments.
1st Half
Dan Edwards try
A try and conversion by Wales fly-half Dan Edwards in the opening 5 minutes help send a strong statement for Wales, who have been struggling during this end of year series, and are yet to win a game.
Faulua Makisi missed cross kick
In the 10th minute, Japan's eighthman found himself on the wing, and narrowly missed out on the cross kick that would have led to a certain try for the visitors.
Kippei Ishida try
The Japanese right-wing scored the first try for the visitors putting them within two points, before the conversion from Seungsin Lee drew them level.
Epineri Uluviti and Faulua Makisi Yellow Card
An off the ball tackle by Epineri Uluvitiwas reviewed by the referee, resulting in yellow card. Five minutes later it was Faulua Makisi who was sent into the bin with the possibility of an upgrade to red for head contact in a tackle as well. Japan found themselves down to 13 men for a 5 minute period. Luckily for Japan, Makisi's yellow card was not upgraded to a red, due to a low degree of danger.
After breaking the line, Welsh winger Louis-Rees Zammit charged down the field gaining over 30 metres opening up the Japanese defense, however a well timed and perfectly executed tackle by Charlie Lawrence saw Rees-Zammit lose the ball forward, allowing Japan room to breath with 13 men.
2nd Half
Josh Adams Yellow
Welsh winger Josh Adams was also sent to the sin bin with the clock two minutes in the redzone on the stroke of halftime. The card was reviewed and the decision at the beginning of the second half saw the Welsh speedster's card upgraded to a 20 minute red card.
Rees-Zammit try
Wales talisman Louis Rees-Zammit's 50th Minute try came at a much need point of the game, as they were a man down due to Adams' red card with Dan Edwards adding the extra 2 points.
Seungsin Lee Penalties
The Japanese fly-half slotted two penalties in the 48th and 55th minute to put the visitors within one point of Wales, ensuring the tempo remained high as they continued to look for their first away win against a tier one neation since the mircale in Brighton.
Makisi Try and Lee penalty
The eighthman was in fine form, as he led his team from the front scoring a try in the 60th minute that put them within one point of the Dragons after Lee's conversion. 5 minutes later, Japan snatched their first lead of the game with another Lee penalty.
