Bristol Bears confirm squad for 2023/24 campaign

Director of Rugby Pat Lam has confirmed the Bristol Bears first team squad for the 2023/24 campaign.

International trio Max Malins, Kalaveti Ravouvou and Kieran Marmion make the switch to Bear Country, alongside Gabriel Oghre and Sam Wolstenholme.

James Dun is back from a loan spell with Jersey, while Charlie Powell is also retained but will return to the Championship club on loan for another season.

Lam also offers professional terms to six members of the Under-18 side who finished fourth in the 2022/23 Academy League.

Versatile Wales U18 forward Kenzie Jenkins (Coleg y Cymoedd), who can operate in the second row or back row, join the Senior Academy, as do England U18 loosehead prop Louis Trevett and dynamic centre Isaac Campbell-Wu (both Clifton College). Wing Tom Ormsby (Redland Green) signs a scholarship agreement, while back row duo Tom Gardner and Ollie Thraves take up BUCS Super Rugby pathway deals at Loughborough University.

England U18 centre Toby Baker joins the Bears Academy from the RFU Yorkshire Rugby Academy.

Current Senior Academy players Sami Hamid and Ed Harvey head to Loughborough University as part of the club’s BUCS Super Rugby pathway.
