Jay Tyack is an English rugby union player who currently plays as a prop for Bristol Bears in the Premiership Rugby. He began his rugby career at Truro RFC and had stints with Cornish All Blacks, St Ives, and St Austell before joining the Cornish Pirates as a Player Development Foundation member in 2014.

Academically, Jay Tyack attended Penair School, where he started playing rugby in Year 7. After his first season, he was encouraged to join Truro RFC, where he continued to play until under-16s level. He excelled in his studies as well and was awarded a scholarship to Bryanston School in Dorset. At Bryanston School, he completed 'A' levels in Business & Economics, Maths, and Sport, showcasing his dedication to both academics and rugby.

During his development as a player, Tyack represented England at the Under-18 and Schools level, as well as the South West U20s. He also had the opportunity to play rugby in New Zealand, further enhancing his skills and experience. In his early years with the Cornish Pirates, he made several appearances for the club and gained valuable playing time.

To gain more experience and aid his development, Tyack had spells playing for clubs like St. Austell and St. Ives, as well as Chinnor in National Two South and Birmingham Moseley in National One. These experiences in the national leagues contributed to his growth as a prop forward.

After returning to the Cornish Pirates for the 2019/20 season, Tyack made a strong impression, featuring in 16 matches and further showcasing his potential as a talented prop forward. His performances caught the attention of Gloucester, and in November 2020, he signed a short-term deal with the club, making one appearance in the European Champions Cup.

In May 2021, Tyack signed a two-year deal with Worcester Warriors. Despite injuries in the squad, he made his debut for Worcester Warriors before the end of the 2020/21 season. However, due to the liquidation of the company to which they were contracted, all Worcester players had their contracts terminated in October 2022.

Shortly after, Tyack joined Bristol Bears in October 2022, signing for the remainder of the 2022/23 season following a successful trial period. His move to Bristol Bears provides him with a new opportunity to contribute to the team's success and continue his rugby journey in the Premiership Rugby.

Throughout his career, Tyack has demonstrated his strength as a prop forward, with a focus on solid scrummaging technique and physicality in the set-piece. His experience playing at different levels, along with his academic achievements, make him a well-rounded individual both on and off the field.
