Exeter nearly scare Bath again at the Rec

Bath were looking for revenge as they welcomed Exeter and got the first half to a great start securing the bonus point but taking a lead into the break that was exactly the same as the lead they took into the Prem Rugby semi final last season.

The second half almost had the same outcome as Exeter fought back and took the lead only for Bath to get back into the clash and retake the lead. After Varney was sent off the hosts were able to secure the result and go unbeaten in the opening two games of the season.

Bath finished up with a bonus point win of 40-34 with Exeter taking home two log points from the loss
