Siua grew up in Tonga since his birth and moved to New Zealand in 2013 to pursue a rugby scholarship at Timaru Boys' High School and later became a roofer in Christchurch.
A shock inclusion in the Tonga Rugby World Cup squad, Siua Maile was working a roofer in Christchurch a meer three weeks before he was named in Tonga's Rugby World Cup squad.
Featuring for club side Shirley Vikings, Maile did manage to force his way into the Canterbury B side before he was named in Tonga's squad and ultimately given a starting debut against the All Blacks ahead of the Rugby World Cup in Japan at the age of 22.
Before his call up Maile was yet to play a game of professional rugby having yet to make a single appearance in Super Rugby or Mitre 10 Cup.
He made his international debut for Tonga against New Zealand in a World Cup warm-up match on 7 September 2019.
Siua Maile represented also Tonga for the 2019 Rugby World Cup which was held in Japan for the first time and also marks his first World Cup appearance. He made his debut World Cup match appearance in a Pool C match against England on 22 September 2019.
He played for Manawatu from 2020 to 2022 and for Hurricanes in Super Rugby in 2022.
In his 2022 Super Rugby season, he only played two matches however, he made an impact with 1 try, 7 carries and 16 tackles.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Maile has been named in the training squad for Tonga.
