England sevens victory boosts Team GB’s Olympic hopes


Simon Amor, the England head coach, saluted his victorious team as they
boosted Great Britain’s hopes of automatic qualification for the Olympic
Games by capturing the Tokyo Sevens title.



England overcame South Africa ­21-14 in a thrilling final at the Prince
Chichibu Memorial Stadium to move above Australia, who lost 17-12 to the
United States in the bowl final, and into the vital fourth qualifying spot
for the Rio de Janeiro games next year.
