Rudolph Gerhardus Snyman represented the Blue Bulls since primary school level when he played in the 2008 Under-13 Craven Week competition.

After secondary school, he joined the Blue Bulls Academy and represented the Blue Bulls U19 side during the 2014 Under-19 Provincial Championship. He eventually played in ten matches during the regular season.

In 2015, Snyman was included in the Bulls Super Rugby squad prior to the 2015 Super Rugby season despite not having featured in any first-class matches up to that point. He made his senior debut in the first match of that competition.

In June 2015, he extended his contract at the Bulls until October 2017.

Snyman was a mainstay in the Bulls Super Rugby starting line up and took his cap tally to 25 in 2017.

May 2018 saw him sign a new deal with the Bulls, committing to the club until at least 2019.

Snyman was one of the form South African locks at the start of the 2018 Super Rugby season and his performances earned him a call-up to the Springbok squad for the 2018 June Internationals.

Snyman made his test debut in the first June Test against England at Ellis Park and has gone to represent his country on 6 occasions.

Snyman heads into the 2018 Rugby Championship with 3 test caps.
