- 88
While a high volume of kicks from hand is a controversial metric due to the negative connotation it proves a highly valuable asset to have if you can do it on your own terms and with accuracy.
While France were the third highest team for kicking volume with 144 kicks from hand they amassed the most meters with 3962 meters gained from kicks averaging 792 meters kicked per game. They did however have the most successful attacking kicks by a long way, retaining 37 kicks (seven per game) with eight of those resulting in a try being scored.

France retained 25% of their kicks from hand, Scotland were second in kick retention with 21% despite kicking the least of any of the sides.
England kicked the most from hand, kicking 150 times over the competition averaging 788 kicking meters per game. They retained 18% of their kicks and registered two try scoring kicks
