Joe Simmonds
A last minute call up the starting XV following a pre match injury to Gareth Steenson, Simmonds made the most of the starting berth as he put in a Man of the Match performance. It was a mature showing from the 22 year old flyhalf, who combined well with his scrum-half Nic White. Simmonds set Exeter on their way to the bonus-point as his neat show and go and try assist helped Ollie Devoto over to score the first try for the home side. He was accurate off the tee and showed up strongly in defence with 13 tackles.
Dave Ewers
The Exeter back row was a standout performer after another strong performance up front. Ewers led the tackling charts with a 19 hits and cleaned out rucks with great intensity. He impressed at the lineout and was a willing ball carrier, especially at close quarters and ended the game with 10 carries for a gain of 23 metres.
Santiago Cordero
The hot stepping Puma full back brought out all the tricks in a fine individual effort for the home side. Cordero continues to leave defenders in awe of his ability to change direction off either foot with devastating effect. He carried for a gain of 108 metres, beating five defenders, one line break and threw a pass for a try.
