Nic White is a talented rugby scrumhalf who has established himself as one of the most dynamic playmakers in Australian rugby. He was born on June 13, 1990, in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia.
White began his rugby career playing for the Merewether Carlton Rugby Club in Newcastle, where he quickly established himself as a standout player. He was then selected to play for the NSW Country Eagles in the National Rugby Championship, where he further showcased his talent and caught the attention of the Brumbies coaching staff.
In 2011, White signed with the Brumbies and made his Super Rugby debut against the Reds. Over the next few seasons, he became a key member of the Brumbies squad and helped lead the team to the Super Rugby final in 2013.
White's performances for the Brumbies earned him his first international cap for the Wallabies in 2013, and he quickly established himself as the team's first-choice scrumhalf. He played a crucial role in the Wallabies' run to the 2015 Rugby World Cup final, scoring a try in the semi-final against Argentina.
After the World Cup, White signed with French club Montpellier, where he spent two seasons before joining English club Exeter Chiefs. At Exeter, he helped the team win the Premiership title in 2017/18 and earned a recall to the Wallabies squad for the 2019 Rugby Championship and the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
In October 2019, White returned to the Brumbies, signing a two-year deal that would see him finish his stay at Exeter Chiefs and be available for the Wallabies in 2020. He was also appointed as vice-captain of the Brumbies for the 2020 Super Rugby season. In 2021, he helped lead the Brumbies to the Super Rugby AU final, where they were defeated by the Queensland Reds.
Overall, White has earned 50 Test caps for the Wallabies and scored 38 points. He is known for his quick thinking, excellent passing, and sharp kicking game, and is widely regarded as one of the best scrumhalves in Australian rugby.
