After starting his rugby career at US Morlaàs, Thibault Debaës joined Section Paloise as a youth player. In 2019, he made his professional debut with Pau in the Challenge Cup alongside none other than… Vincent Pinto! That same season, he was called up to the French U20 team, earning eight caps. The following year, he experienced Top 14 rugby for the first time in an away match against Brive. Today, the fly-half has 56 Top 14 appearances to his name, scoring four tries. In the 2023/2024 season, he finished as runner-up in the French SuperSevens Sevens Championship and was named the tournament's best player. A month later, he was loaned to Vannes to finish the season in Pro D2. It was a great adventure for him, during which he won his first title, becoming French champion against Grenoble. He signed permanently in Brittany, where he would once again experience the Top 14. Back in the second division this year, the 24-year-old played 20 matches for Vannes, notably starting in the semi-final against Oyonnax. He won his second French Pro D2 championship title.
