Owen Farrell hoping to be back for Saracens' Champions Cup semi-final against Clermont Auvergne
Owen Farrell, the England fly half, hopes to make his comeback from a knee injury for Saracens’ Champions Cup semi-final against Clermont Auvergne on April 18.
It was against Clermont in the final round of pool stage matches that Farrell suffered a high-grade medial ligament strain, which ruled him out of England’s entire Six Nations campaign.
Farrell is now back in full training and aims to be in contention to play against the French giants, who Saracens thrashed 46-6 in last year’s semi-final, at St Etienne's Stade Geoffroy-Guichard next Saturday.
