Don't think I've ever seen heaslip injured

@mick: Agreed. Provinces in a bad place. The only one on the up is Connacht, but still don't have enough exceptional players. It's all down to coaches at the moment. Pat Lam at Connaught is excellent, so he's getting more than the sum of the parts from the players. That's why I'm not worried about Ireland. Provinces may be struggling, but Schmitt is world class.

In regards to Irish rugby, I've really enjoyed being able to keep up with the Pro 12 via this app. From what I understand, Ireland made some bold moves in the 90s in regards to their whole nations rugby program from youth to provincial. It has paid off. If anyone can beat SA or NZ in September, it's the Green! (And even though my blood is now fifth generation American, I have an abiding love for the island where my great great grandfathers emigrated from.) Go Ireland! Or as Europeans say, COME ON IRELAND!

That's because he decelerates into tackles

What happened

@John: The standard doesn't matter. At least ye're getting a chance to play it....and enjoy it by the sounds of it. That's great!

Ultimate Rugby Jan 1

A very competitive first half of Rugby with Leinster leading their Irish rivals Ulster 9-6 thanks to the boot of Ian Madigan. Ulster have had more of the ball but in the end that counts for nothing in Rugby with Ulster giving away needless penalties with Madigan punishing them from the boot. The second half is still anyone's game with Ulster starting the half with 14 players while Leinster will be disappointed to have lost Heaslip to injury. Second half is coming up so stay with us for updates and analysis.

Following Irish rugby is a good idea at the mo. Irl 3rd in the world. Current 6 nation champs. The power of Joe! Ladies recent grand slam winners in same comp. All good. Provinces not faring so well this season. Exciting yr tho, with World Cup in Eng. I agree: this App is excellent. C'mon Leinster!
