As for this game, it sounds well played this far.

@Jellylegs, my small town of Helena (40k people) has an amateur "club" rugby team called "The All Blues" but they play six matches a year, and it's mostly guys like me who were raised with American football. We know contact sports, but rugby is a different beast. Thus, like most American rugby, we simply are several steps behind Europeans and Southern counties who are raised with the sport.

Madigan is successful with his third kick of the afternoon and puts Leinster in front with the last play of the half with Leinster leading 9-6.

What an absolutely idiotic thing to do

Ultimate Rugby Jan 1

Silly penalty to give away with Tuohy throwing himself at Boss coming in from the side knocking the ball out his hands and the lock is sent to the bin and Madigan will look to put Leinster in front.

@John: Fair play. Any rugby played down your way?

LEINSTER LEINSTER LEINSTER

Ulster lose their patience at the breakdown with Boss penalised and Leinster get the penalty with Best also being warned for his actions. Madigan kicks to the 22.

Looks like it's the shoulder. I refuse to believe the man who never gets injured is gonna get injured this year of all years. Sorry Heaslip but just NO.

@Mick, I'm a yank, raised in American football and some "soccer" too. I discovered rugby a few years ago, and because of YouTube and Ultimate Rugby app, I've fallen head over heals in love with this sport. So much that I follow all the Irish provinces as well as RBS 6 Nations and the Southern Hemisphere teams now too. Rugby is an amazing sport and I have the utmost respect for all the men AND women who play this incredible sport. As for Montana, it's currently -15 degrees C. Winter in the Rocky Mountains is always interesting!
