France take a 21-3 lead over Japan into halftime. France scored a try just seven minutes in and they added two penalties to open up an 11-0 lead. Japan got on the board with a penalty midway through the half, but that was cancelled out by a French shot at goal around the half hour mark. France went over for try number two five minutes from halftime for a 18 point advantage at the break.
