Longstaff has three U18 caps for his country, touring South Africa in 2023 before
achieving his first U19 appearance away to France a year later.
He was named in Mark Mapletoft's U20 Elite Player Squad last autumn and played in
two uncapped matches vs. Wales and Georgia in June.
The 2024/25 season has proved influential in Alfie's rugby development, making his
senior league and cup debut for parent club Sale Sharks. The 19-year-old has accrued
18 National League appearances across divisions with Sale FC and Preston
Grasshoppers.
