PWR Round 6 Team of The Week
- 229
Round 6 of the 2025-26 Premiership Women’s Rugby season saw some tough battles and shock scorelines! Exeter Chiefs hosted the first game of the round on Saturday 6th December, hosting Bristol Bears at Sandy Park. The Bears were held to only 10 points, as Chiefs blew through the scoring with 7 tries and 3 conversions, winning 41-10.
Next up saw the Champions, Gloucester Hartpury back at Kingsholm against Trailfinders Women. The West London team were looking to overturn a disappointing scoreline from the week before, and very nearly got their wish… with only one point making the difference between the sides. Despite a late try from Niamh Gallagher, Gloucester won 29-28, but Trailfinders took home a bonus point for their efforts.
Leicester Tigers were back at home, facing a hungry Harlequins side. After missing out on last week’s action due to a bye week, Quins were ready to take on a challenge. An even performance early on saw both sides scoring, but it was Harlequins who came out victorious with a 28-56 win, though, not before Tigers scored their first bonus point of the season!
The Round was concluded at StoneX Stadium on Sunday 7th December, where Saracens were up against Loughborough Lightning. Two strong sides proved to be an exciting game, with Lightning coming back with intent at half time, scoring two tries to lead by 3 points. The North London team responded with force, with 3 more tries and successful conversions, winning the game 33-15.
Harlequins’ Carys Phillips was the top points and try scorer of the round, earning 15 points from 3 tries. Gloucester Hartpury’s Natasha (Mo) Hunt made 2 try assists, making her the joint 1st in the round, and 1st in the season totals, with 11!
