Another stunning clash between the two sides saw France start strong but drop off as the Springbok system got settled in and the World Champions seemingly won the game comfortably despite suffering a full red card late in the first half.
Lood de Jager was sent off for a reckless tucked arm tackle on Thomas Ramos which looked to galvanize the Springboks who had their skipper, Siya Kolisi, playing his 100th test and coach, Rassie Erasmus, coaching his 50th Springbok test.
The latter made some brave decisions in the timing of his subs as well as the masterstroke of Andre Ezterhuizen coming on to play a dual role of flank and centre.
Malcolm Marx, Cobus Reinach, Jesse Kriel, Jasper Wiese and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu (MOTM) were all stand out players for the visitors
