5 Things we learned | Ireland vs Italy
Ireland held on to a 20-13 win over Italy in round two of the Six Nations. It was not smooth sailing for the home side as the Italians almost scored in the 82nd minute for a possible draw, but an intercept from James Lowe helped Ireland get the win.
Here are 5 things we learned from this match.
Here are 5 things we learned from this match.

1. Ireland has a problem in the flyhalf jersey. In the 56 minutes Sam Prendergast was on the field, he made 8/12 tackles and missed 2 easy kicks at goal. Jack Crowley came on for him but kicked the ball dead when Ireland were about to set up a lineout in the 85th minute.
2. The Italian scrum is a thing of beauty. Ireland was under massive pressure from the Italian scrum and won numerous penalties.
3. James Lowe must start for Ireland on the wing. The Irish winger made the most meters (138), beat the most defenders (9), made the most breaks (3), had joint most offloads (3), and caught the intercept in his own 22 that led to Ireland exiting their own 22 when Italy were building to score the try that could have drawn the match.
4. Ireland will need to tighten their defense. In the first half, Ireland fell off tackles that led to Italy making easy meters. In the second half, it went better, and they ended the match with 145/168 tackles.
5. The Italians can be very dangerous on attack. The Italians ' passing game and playing out the back were out of this world.
