Bonar took up rugby in 2014 and plays for Lichfield, and went on to madk her Scotland Women debut off the bench aganst Spain in the first of two Women's Rugby World Cup Qualifers in November 2016.
In January 2017, she was named in the Scotland Women squad to compete in the 2017 Six Nations tournament.
