Super Rugby Preview: The Sharks
- 1586
The Sharks, much like the other South African Unions, had a campaign to forget despite just finishing in a Quarter-Final spot, traveling to eventual champions, the Hurricanes and losing 41-0.
Their season did have some positives, such as the introduction of the Du Preez twins, Dan and Jean Luc, who both performed well in their debut seasons, with Jean Luc winning the SA Rugby’s Player’s Player of the Year Award.
This year will see youngsters like Curwin Bosch getting an extended run and French veteran Clemont Poitrenaud joining the squad.
The Sharks start their 2017 campaign with a visit to Suncorp Staduim to face the Reds on 24 February.
