Nottingham extend Buckley's contract

Nottingham Rugby have announced that 24-year-old Shane Buckley has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The 24 year-old Irishman joined the Nottingham from Munster last May, and has impressed so far this season, scoring 3 tries in 17 league and cup appearances.

The former Ireland Under-20 number eight is the first of many to commit his future to Nottingham for at least another year, with head coach Costello currently very happy with how his squad is shaping up campaign, saying:

"We've managed to retain a high percentage of the current squad and our aim would be to add some quality around that as well. We're backing the players we have and the environment we have, to bring us the most success going forward. We feel we have a particularly good group of players in terms of their character, ability and room to grow and improve.”
