The Scarlets were their own downfall in their URC match against Cardiff. 

Scarlets were in total control leading 24-7 in the 55th minute but yellow cards to Taine Plumtree and Blair Murray helped Cardiff fight their way back and win 24-28.

Blair Murray, Dane Blackerm Johnny Williams and Taine Plumtree all scored tries for Scarlets. Cameron Winnett, Ben Thomas and Javan (2) scored for Cardiff.

Scarlets made 8 offloads while Cardiff made 0. Scarlets also won 5 turnovers, 3 more than Cardiff. On attack, Scarlets only managed to make 296 meters while Cardiff made 350.

Next up Scarlets hosts the Bulls and Cardiff hosts Ospreys.
