A well earned try scored by the Welsh skipper Ellis. The ball made it through 5 sets of hands and the superb offloads allowed Ellis to barge his was through a tackle to touch down for his sides first try of the game.
A lot of kicks and scrums so far in this game. The welsh kicks in play are not making touch and gives SA the opportunity to counter attack through the back three. Come scrum time its Wales who dominate with more power coming through the second rows.
Once again its Wales with all the possession but South Africa with the Territory. Wales can't seem to make it out of their own half.
The first scoring opportunity goes South Africa's way in the second half. Pollard strikes it well but drifts to the right of the posts. Thats a second miss now for Pollard, lets hope it doesn't ruin his confidence for the rest of the match.
Half time here in Vannes and its the Boks who find themselves 1 points in front. Wales have 6 points from the boot of outhalf Davies while South Africa responded with a try just before the end of the half. Possession stats will favour the Reds however they have been unable to convert the time with the ball into sufficient points on the board.
A soft try given away by wales. SA had a line out on the Welsh 5 metre line and they arranged their line out to have 6 foot 6 Herbst first man. He gets the ball short and Wales caught off guard watch as Herbst crosses the chalk for the first try of this semi final.
Wales get territory inside SA's half and a penalty arising from a scrum allows Davies push Wales 6 points ahead after half an hour.
Some huge hits going in here by Wales. They're leaving no gaps for the boys in green to get through.
Wales finally get the first points of the game through the boot of Davies. Davies slots the 40 metre kick right between the posts to add to his impressive tournament tally.
20 minutes in and still a scoreless game. SA dominated the first 10 minutes but the last 10 minutes has been Wales in charge and controlling the game.
