Wales first attacking opportunity comes from a successful line out. a switch pass brings wales right up to SA try line. TMO is used to see if the ball is wither knocked back by SA or knocked on by Wales as a try was scored just after. A controversial TMO decision gives a 5 metre scrum to SA and no try awarded.
If your watching the game, keep and eye on SA wing Seabelo Senatla . 6 tries in the pool stages this guy is quite a show man. Heading off to Moscow next week playing for SA 7's at just 20 years of age.
Although Wales have the possession they just can't make and ground and all the play is being played in their own half.
South Africa made a 50 metre break to bring play right up to Wales' try line but the ball is fumbled and picked up by Wales and cleared by Davies back to the half way line.
5 minutes in and it's been all South Africa. Phase after phase they are using their forwards in tight to run the ball. Wales keeping in tight around the fringes are making some impressive tackles to stop the Boks in their path.
Boks -10..... Hmmm there may be money to be made here
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Ultimate Rugby's first ever coverage of an U20 match. This U20 World Cup Semi Final is between South Africa and Wales. Wales had an impressive pool stage beating Samoa Scotland and Argentina while The Baby Boks had a slightly more difficult group defeating England France and also the USA. Both teams form a tight unit with solid defence and a lot of points in this match will be as a result of penalties through discipline. The penalty count must be kept low so as to not hand points to the boot of either Handre Pollard of SA or Sam Davies of Wales.
Come on you baby leeks!
