Giampiero de Carli, born on March 17, 1970, in Rome, is a former Italian rugby union player and current coach. He played as a prop during his career.

De Carli began his playing career with Rugby Roma Olimpic, representing the club from 1989/90 to 1996/97. He then spent a season at Amatori Rugby Milano in 1997/98 before returning to Roma Olimpic for another season.

In 1999/2000, he joined Stade Français and achieved success by winning the French Championship. De Carli had another stint with Roma Olimpic in 2000/01 before moving to Rugby Calvisano, where he played from 2001/02 to 2005/06 and ultimately concluded his playing career. He won the Italian Championship in 2004/05 and the Cup of Italy in 2003/04 with Calvisano.

On the international stage, de Carli earned 32 caps for Italy from 1996 to 2003. Although he was selected for the 1999 Rugby World Cup, he did not make any appearances in the tournament. He participated in the first four Six Nations Championships for Italy in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003.

After retiring as a player, de Carli transitioned into coaching. He served as the coach of Calvisano from 2006/07 to 2008/09. He also held the position of one of the two head coaches of Italy A. In 2014, he became the forwards coach of the Italian national team.

Giampiero de Carli's career spans both playing and coaching, and he has made significant contributions to Italian rugby at both levels.
