Short started her rugby journey at Launceston RFC and has remained in the West Country since, now playing for Bristol Bears in the PWR. She has previously represented England at U18 and U21 level.
The 19-year-old has been called up to the Red Roses to bolster their second-row offerings with Rosie Galligan, Abbie Ward and Zoe Stratford all expecting a child. Short is a dynamic back row who can also play at lock and has impressed with her relentless work rate and lineout ability in the PWR and for England age group.
