Impressive England shine at Twickenham
- 64
England walked away with five log points after a great 80 minute display against the Wallabies. Coming into the game, both sides had a mixed bag of results to offer up in 2026 with plenty questions needing to be answered by the coaches Borthwick and Kiss.
Borthwick came out trumps on the day as his side look much sharper on both sides of the ball.
On Defence:

While the Wallabies offered very little in the opening 60 minutes with the ball, the England defence was looking energetic and sharp as they showed good line speed as well as well read double hits that stopped the momentum of the visiting team. While the line speed and forwards defence was impressive, Henry Slade really stood out for England and bagged Man of the Match off the back of this performance.
On Attack:

The England attack was equally as impressive and they showed a great willingness to go wide, add to that the roaming role that Feyi-Waboso played, England were making good meters off most of their sets. The try bonus point win was all about the England left wingers, the first 40 was Feyi-Waboso and after his injury it was Pollock on the wing for the entire second half seeing the Saints loose forward score a brace out wide.
