Simon Mannix

Having played one Test for the All Blacks against France in 1994, Mannix started his playing career with Wellington Lions in 1990, and went on to score 648 points in 83 appearances before leaving the side in 1996 for the Wellington Hurricanes.

1997 saw him get a contract at Sale Sharks in the Premiership, where he would make 10 caps during his one-year stint with the club before joining rivals, Gloucester Rugby.

Mannix made 53 appearances for Gloucester Rugby before retiring after 3 seasons and venturing into a coaching career.

He became part of the management team that gained Racing Metro promotion to the Top 14 in 2009, before being dismissed in December 2011.

A coaching positions at Munster soon followed when he was appointed as the club's backs coach on a two-year contract from the 2012-13 season under head coach Rob Penney.

In 2014, Mannix was appointed headcoach of Pau, then in the Pro D2, for the start of the 2014-2015 season. He went on to top the Pro D2 in his first season, earning the team promotion to the Top 14.
