Reilly re-news deal with Waratahs

The NSW Waratahs have continued their re-signing spree as winger Triston Reilly signs a two-year extension.

It will keep Reilly at Daceyville until the end of the 2026 season after a breakthrough year with the club.

The 25-year-old returned to the Waratahs at the start of the year following a stint with NRL side Wests Tigers.

Through the year, Reilly slowly worked his way up the depth chart, scoring in their win over the Crusaders on his round two return.

The former Junior Wallaby would start in his maiden game for the club the following week and finished the season as their starting winger, featuring in five out of their final six games.

“Triston deserves his chance. We all saw what he did against the Crusaders last time. He missed out for a couple of weeks there, but he took it in the right way," then-coach Darren Coleman said in a statement on his return to the starting side.

"He went back and worked hard on his game, stayed positive and played really well for Randwick on the weekend in the Shute Shield.

"His effort areas like kick-chase and defence are really strong and I’m looking forward to what he can provide us this weekend."

Reilly's re-signing caps off a stacked backline set to compete for positions at the Waratahs.

They have brought in Rebels duo Darby Lancaster and Andrew Kellaway, with Sydney Roosters star Joseph Suaalii already on his way in 2025.

On top of this, Dylan Pietsch and Max Jorgensen are two of 16 debutants used by Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt in 2024.

The club will continue to announce re-signings and new additions in the coming days.
