PROD2 Final Highlights: Perpignan v Grenoble

A strong second half performance and a dominant scrum saw Perpignan crowned champions of the French Pro D2 as they ran out 38-13 winners over Grenoble in the final. The first half was a tight affair, with Perpignan scoring an early try, but Grenoble hit back with two penalties and score of their own to build a 13-7 lead. However, a second try for Perpignan saw them take a slender 14-13 lead into the break. Perpignan crossed for an early second half try and kicked a penalty to extend their advantage to 24-13 heading into the final quarter. A yellow card at scrum time did not held Grenoble's cause, as Perpignan closed out the match with a further two tries to seal promotion back to the French Top 14. Grenoble will have a second chance to join them as they tackle Oyonnax.
