Pocock fails late fitness test ahead of England test

Wallabies flanker David Pocock will miss this weekend's Test against England after failing a late fitness.

Pocock was named in the Wallabies team on Thursday but coach Michael Cheika admitted he was not yet fully fit, happy to give him as much time as required before making a final call.

Pocock has had neck issues all season and it was a similar injury that forced him out of the Wallabies clash with South Africa in Brisbane in September.

The Wallabies are yet to confirm a replacement but Pete Samu is expected to fill Pocock's void with Kurtley Beale tipped to return to the team after being initially left out of the team in a 6-2 bench.
