Ireland name two uncapped players for Wales on Friday

Leinster winger James Lowe’s heart would have skipped a beat after the recent announcement of the Ireland team to take on Wales in the first round of the Autumn Nations Cup on Saturday.

Lowe was named on the left wing in what will be his first ever international cap.

The New Zealand native joined up with Leinster in 2017 after 46 caps for Tasman and 53 for the Chiefs in Super Rugby.

While Lowe is the only debutant in the starting line-up, another potential will take his place on the bench in the form of Billy Burns.

The 26 year old Burns is the brother of Bath and England fly-half Freddie Burns and qualifies for Ireland through his paternal grandfather.

The Irish will fancy their chances against a Welsh outfit that has struggled of late but, at the same time, will be wary of a backlash from Alun Wyn Jones’ troops.
