Injury Updates Following A Bruising Irish Derby

An attritional clash between Leinster and Munster on Saturday saw a number of players leave the field injured or finish the game with a niggle or two.
Munster fell to a 27-25 defeat at the Aviva Stadium with new signings RG Snyman and Damian de Allende making their full debuts in the starting line up.
Unfortunately for Snyman, he picked an injury just seven minutes into his first appearance for the Province after claiming one of Leinster's lineouts and injuring his knee when coming to the ground.
Munster boss Johann van Graan gave a grim assessment after the game suggesting the injury was 'pretty serious'.
In a release on Monday Munster provided an injury update on Snyman and other members of the squad.
"On the injury front, RG Snyman, Dave Kilcoyne and Jean Kleyn were all withdrawn due to injury during Saturday night’s game against Leinster with James Cronin pulling out of the starting XV before kick-off." the statement read.
It went on to confirm that the Springbok lock suffered a left knee injury and will go for an MRI scan today to assess further.
Prop Dave Kilcoyne was removed with a right ankle injury and will also undergo an MRI scan today [Monday].

Second rower, Jean Kleyn was replaced Snyman before leaving the field himself with a neck injury and underwent imaging in hospital and was discharged. He will undergo further imaging today to investigate, Munster confirmed.
James Cronin, who pulled up before kick off, suffered a low-grade groin strain and will continue to rehab with the medical team while Jack O’Donoghue suffered a concussion in training last week and will follow the graded return to play pathway under supervision of the medical team.
While Joey Carbery (ankle), Dan Goggin (ankle) and Roman Salanoa (abdominal) are all long term injuries the club did have some positive news with utility back Mike Haley (calf) returning to team training this week.

Leinster Head coach Leo Cullen also issued an injury update on Monday with his side facing off against Ulster Rugby at Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
All of Cian Healy (arm), Josh van der Flier (hand ) and Johnny Sexton (thumb) were withdrawn as a precaution in the second half of the weekend win over Munster but are now expected to be available this week.
Meanwhile, Rhys Ruddock, Tadhg Furlong and Dave Kearney will be further assessed this week after Ruddock was unavailable for the Munster game with a minor quad injury while Furlong missed out through a minor back injury.
A final decision on their involvement against Ulster will be made later in the week. Kearney was replaced in the second half against Munster after picking up a hamstring injury and he will not feature on Saturday.
Vakh Abdaladze had a procedure on a long-standing back issue last week and will be monitored over the coming weeks while Dan Leavy (knee) will again look to increase his training involvement. Both remain unavailable for selection.
There is no further update on Fergus McFadden (calf), Conor O’Brien (hamstring), Adam Byrne (hamstring) and James Ryan (shoulder).
