England stars accidentally leak new Umbro shirt

On Tuesday, England Rugby and Umbro announced a new four-year partnership with Umbro replacing current sponsors Canterbury.

The English sports brand will be the Official Technical Kit Partner from 1 September 2020, when the iconic double-diamond of Umbro will be worn by the England Men’s teams, Red Roses, Sevens and age grade teams.

Following the announcement, leaked images started circulating on social media of what appears to be the first Umbro-branded England gear.

A picture, that was quickly deleted from Sam Underhill, showed the England flanker with teammate Tom Curry posing in the new gear.

It is likely that the shirt could be just a training kit with reports suggesting that England players have been testing Umbro kit behind closed doors in recent months in preparation for the brand taking over, and it seems likely that this is either a ‘testing’ jersey.

Umbro will reveal the new kit later on this year – though as yet no date has been confirmed for the launch.
