Bulls Player Ratings | URC Semi-Finals

The Bulls conquered the Sharks 25-13 at Loftus to book their place in the URC final.

Here are our Bulls player ratings.

  1. Jan-hendrik Wessels - 7

Solid in the scrum and made some good solid tackles, only missed 1 out of 5 in the 54 minutes he played.

  1. Johan Grobbelaar – 7.1

Good lineout throws. Good powerful carries and solid tackles.

  1. Wilco Louw – 7.2

Solid in the scrum and made some good solid tackles, only missed 1 out of 8.

  1. Cobus Wiese – 8

Powerful carries from Wiese shaking off defenders. A beast on defence too making the most tackles (19) and got a try assist.

  1. JF van Heerden – 7.4

A tackling machine making 13 tackles and only missing 1. He also won 1 lineout.

  1. Marcell Coetzee – 7.5

The loose forward put in a massive shift carrying the ball 10 times strong, beating 5 defenders and making 16 tackles and winning 1 turnover.

  1. Ruan Nortje – 7.9

The skipper was solid in defence making the second most tackles in the game (17). He also won 3 turnovers.

  1. Cameron Hanekom – 7.2

Solid in defence, solid when carrying the ball up but picked up a yellow card.

  1. Embrose Papier – 8

Great service and great vision from the scrumhalf. He made a great line break in the first half to assist Sebastian de Klerk’s try and started a move in the 2nd half that the Bulls scored from.

  1. Johan Goosen – 7.9

The playmaker was good on attack and defence, made a crucial turnover as well when Sharks were threatening in the Bulls 22. His kicking could improve with only a 67% kick success rate.

  1. Sebastian de Klerk – 9.5

A man-of-the-match performance from the winger. He made a great run in the first half to step his way through to the try line. He did well under the high ball and made an excellent kick pass to Moodie across the field to assist his try. Overall great performance.

  1. Harold Vorster – 8

Vorster was a beast on defence making 15 tackles and winning 2 turnovers.

  1. David Kriel – 8

Kriel made a crucial turnover on their try line when they were 2 men down in the first half. He also ran good support lines and scored a try.

  1. Canon Moodie – 7

Scored a try and made some solid carries. Put pressure on the Sharks under the high balls.

  1. Willie le Roux – 7.2

The experienced fullback was excellent under the high balls and excellent with the kicks from hand. He also completed 3 tackles, won 5 turnovers but conceded 5 too.
