According to a report in sarugbymag.co.za, the Bulls franchise are attempting to secure the services of decorated Springbok and (currently) Cheetahs centre Frans Steyn as they prepare to compete in the Pro 16 next year.
Steyn recently returned to Bloemfontein, where he spent his childhood, from France and has been a key component of the Cheetahs unit during the South African Super Rugby Unlocked competition.
However, the Cheetahs have been excluded from continued participation in the Pro 14, where they have been for the past few years, and forced to make way for the Bulls, Sharks, Stormers and Lions.
The Bulls are reportedly also interested in signing Cheetahs flanker and vice-captain Junior Pokomela.
