Bath unchanged for Saracens clash
- 1429
Head of Rugby Johann van Graan has named an unchanged starting XV for Bath Rugby’s final match of the Gallagher Premiership season against Saracens.
It means the team that began the 45-35 win over Harlequins at Twickenham last time out will take to the field from the start in front of a packed-out Rec.
Gallagher Premiership Player of the Season nominee Ollie Lawrence continues his blossoming partnership in the centre with Max Ojomoh while Bath’s Best Back and Players’ Player of the Season Matt Gallagher is once again joined in the back three by Joe Cokanasiga and Ruaridh McConnochie.
Captain Ben Spencer takes on his old side from scrum-half with Orlando Bailey operating in the 10 jersey.
The pack has consistency and is the same for the fourth match running. The all-England front row of Beno Obano, Tom Dunn and Will Stuart are bolstered by having second row pairing Josh McNally and GJ van Velze behind them.
Best Forward Ted Hill retains the blindside flanker position and links up with jackal-man Chris Cloete and homegrown stalwart Miles Reid in the back row.
There are a couple of changes on the bench. Dave Attwood is in line for his 175th Bath Rugby appearance, and his final as a professional rugby player before retiring, while Jonathan Joseph also returns to the matchday 23.
