uan Schoeman is a South African rugby player who currently plays as a loosehead prop for Bath Rugby in the English Premiership. He has had a notable career playing for various teams in South Africa before making the switch to England.
Schoeman began his rugby journey with the Blue Bulls at the youth level. He represented the Blue Bulls in the Under-19 Provincial Championships and earned international recognition with the South Africa Under-20s at the 2011 Junior World Championship.
He made his senior debut for the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup Premier Division and also featured in Super Rugby after moving to The Sharks. Known for his discipline, combative nature, strong scrummaging, and carrying abilities, Schoeman spent five years in Durban before making the move to England.
In the Premiership, Schoeman made his debut for Bath Rugby against Worcester Warriors. He quickly made an impact, scoring his first try for the club on the opening day of the 2021/22 season against Sale Sharks.
Prior to joining Bath, Schoeman had a successful career in South Africa, representing teams such as Tuks in the Varsity Cup and the Blue Bulls in the U21 side. He also made appearances for the Bulls in the Vodacom Cup and the Sharks in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby competitions.
By the time of his move to Bath, Schoeman had amassed 44 appearances in Super Rugby for the Sharks. He brings his experience and skills to Bath Rugby as they compete in the highly competitive English Premiership.
