Edward Hill is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a flanker. He was born on March 26, 1999. Hill began his rugby career at Malvern RFC and later joined the Worcester Warriors academy.
He made his club debut for Worcester in November 2017 in a match against Sale Sharks in the Anglo-Welsh Cup. Hill's league debut came in the 2018-19 Premiership season, where he scored two tries, including the winning try against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road. He gained attention for his performances, with four tries in his last five appearances for Worcester.
In June 2020, Hill signed a contract extension with Worcester, which would keep him at the club until 2024. The following month, he was announced as the club captain. However, in October 2022, Hill's contract with Worcester was terminated along with the rest of his teammates after Worcester Warriors RFC's ownership company, WRFC Players Limited, was liquidated.
Hill expressed his frustration with the situation and called for changes to prevent such events from happening in the future.
Hill joined Bath on loan shortly before his contract termination, and it was later confirmed that he had joined the club on a permanent basis.
On the international front, Hill has represented England at various age levels. He played for the England U16 and U18 teams, scoring a try for the U18 side against France in March 2017.
Hill made his debut for the England U20 team during the 2017 Six Nations Under 20s Championship and started in the final of the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship, where England finished as runners-up to France. He was also part of the England U20 squad that finished fifth in the 2019 World Rugby Under 20 Championship.
In October 2018, Hill received his first call-up to the England senior squad for a training camp before the autumn internationals. He made his Test debut as a substitute in a match against Japan in November 2018. Hill has been part of the England U20s Six Nations squad and was named in England's 2020 Six Nations squad, although he did not play in any matches.
Hill has progressed through the Worcester Warriors Academy system, studying at Worcester Sixth Form College and featuring for Worcester Cavaliers in previous seasons. He has shown promise as a young player and has demonstrated his skills on both the club and international stages.
