Liam Williams
Magnificent performance from Liam Williams on Judgment Day III at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, with the Welsh international awarded the Man of the Match award, scoring a try and earning an assist in a 29-10 win for the Scarlets against the Dragons. With Williams continuing to put in impressive performances this season he looks certain to start for Wales in the World Cup in September.
Remy Grosso
Grosso was instrumental in Castres earning a much needed win against Clermont Auvergne, with the winger scoring a hat-trick of tries in a 31-10 win for the 2012/2013 Top14 champions. In what has been a poor season for Castres, Saturday’s win was hugely important as they moved out of the bottom two as they look to avoid relegation.
Sam Burgess
It looks as though Sam Burgess has finally found his position on a Rugby Union field after a Man of the Match performance against London Irish on Friday night. After playing most of the season at inside centre Burgess played only his second game in the back-row against London Irish and was impressive in scoring a try while also putting in the most tackles and having the most carries. Can he now make a late push for a place in England’s World Cup squad.
Iain Henderson
Ulster continue their fine form into the end of the season, with Iain Henderson putting in another impressive performance against Leinster on Friday night. Apart from running a great line for his try the Ireland international put in countless amount of tackles and he will be an important player for Ulster for the final few games of the season as they look to secure a trophy for the first time since 2006.
Joe Simpson
Joe Simpson continues to stake his claim for a spot in England’s World Cup squad after another fine performance for Wasps. In what was a must win game for Wasps against Exeter Chiefs, Simpson scored one of the tries of the season running 70 metres to touch down for his side. Apart from his try he was a constant threat and now has English fans calling for Stuart Lancaster to include him in England's World Cup squad.
