Full time, 24-22 Oyonnax. The newly promoted home side Oyonnax most definately started the brighter of the two sides with two first half tries through winger Silvere Tian. But as the match progressed Biarritz grew more and more into the match, spearheaded by the experience and cool head of Yachvili. The Basque side threw everything they had at Oyonnax as the game came to a close but it was too little to late for the traveling side despite a well worked Ngwenya try in the dying moments of the game. A fair result as the home side were the more consistent of the two sides and a mention too for fly half Urdapilleta who had a fine game both with the boot and open play.

Biarratz are starting to look the most attacking they have looked all game, the arrive at the 22m of the hosts.

This has largely been due to bad handling errors and the giving away of needless penalties.
