Stander deserves more game time on the basis of his performance was outstanding in attack and defence.
All over here at Musgrave Park and Munster maintain their 100% home record with a convincing win over Italian side Zebre. Granted not the most absorbing display we've seen from Munster in recent times but an efficient win nonetheless. A brace of tries for both Simon Zebo and replacement hooker Ger Slattery sees the home side clinch the bonus point with relative ease. Very much a case of beating whats infront of you today and Munster have done just that. Big mention for Donncha O'Callaghan who became Munster's most capped player today surpassing good friend Ronan O'Gara in the process. Hopefully you all enjoyed our coverage and commentary throughout. Until next time folks.
Final play here at Musgrave and Munster look to run it from deep. Play now inside the Zebre half but the Italians get the turnover. Still playing
com on munter
Hurley breaks the tackle in midfield and finds Williams on the inside with a great offload. Ball moved wide but once again the ball goes astray. Zebre kick downfield and Murphy runs it back. Keatley finds space on the outside and its Slattery who gets over for a second try of the game.
Kilcoyne bursts up the middle and there's space outwide if they can fix the defenders. Dougall cuts inside but is pinged for accidental offside having ran into his own man. Zebre scrum in their own 22 now
Stander breaks up the short side and Munster now on the attack on the Zebre 10
5 minutes left on the clock here at Musgrave Park with a Munster put in at the scrum to come
Hobbling back into play but Slattery continues. Straight into the thick of it with a Munster scrum
Zebre somehow manage to maintain possession despite being smashed at the scrum. Play now just outside the Munster 22 and the home side hold the man up. Scrum Munster to come with Ger Slattery down in backplay. Looks to be an ankle injury. Not sure on the severity of the injury but if he cannot take anymore part it could mean uncontested scrums what with Duncan Casey having left the field injured earlier.
