A nifty and talented scrumhalf, Uchida has plies his trade with the Wild Knights in the Top League and has since gone on to represent his country and the Sunwolves.
He made his debut for the Sunwolves in 2017 and by the end of the 2018 season, he made 16 appearances in Super Rugby.
Heading into 2019 he has also earned 22 test caps for his country.
