Jonny Stewart

20th Feb 1998 1.75m/77kg Scrum Half

Seen up in Ulster as the potential heir to Ruan Pienaar, Stewart has been put on the fast track. Already in the Ulster academy as an U19, Stewart is likely to be the focal point of Ireland's attack, and will link up with his Ulster Ravens halfback partner Johnny McPhillips at the 2017 U20 World Rugby Championship.

He was named as Player of the Year at Wallace High School for his efforts during the 2015-16 Senior Cup campaign.

In just his second year in the Ulster Academy, Stewart made his debut for Ulster in October and has trained regularly with the Ulster first team, gaining a lot of experience in the professional set-up.

He was once again included in the Ireland U20 squad for the Six Nations championship.

Prior to the season being brought to a halt, the scrum-half had come off the bench against the Cheetahs and Leinster, scoring a try against the latter, in his 8 minutes of play.
