John is the youngest son of former Pirate 'Stack' Stevens. Stevens signed for the Cornish Pirates in August, 2013.
A product of the Pirates youth section he has made 16 appearances for the Cornish Pirates in his first three seasons.
He has also benefited from regular match action at Redruth, where he has gained experience, continued his development, the receiving several man-of-the-match awards.
John signed a one year deal with the Pirates for the 2017/18 season.
