His talent and potential were recognized, leading to county recognition with Cumbria.

At the age of 16, Blamire moved to Gosforth Academy to join the Newcastle Falcons' AASE scheme. He signed his first senior academy contract with the Falcons in the summer of 2016, progressing through the ranks. He represented England at the Under-18 and Under-20 levels, earning caps for his country.

He showcased his scoring ability by scoring the decisive try that sent the Falcons through to the semi-finals of the Premiership Rugby Cup against Sale Sharks in February 2019. In May 2019, he made his Premiership debut against Gloucester, making an impact by scoring a try after coming on as a back-row replacement.

Blamire's contributions earned him the Academy Player of the Season award for 2018-19. He signed a new contract with the Falcons in February 2020 and played a crucial role in their promotion during the 2019-20 season.

In June 2021, Blamire's hard work and talent were recognized when he was selected by Eddie Jones for the senior England team. He made his debut for England against the United States at Twickenham on July 4, 2021, scoring a try just three minutes after coming on as a replacement.

In his second cap against Canada the following week, Blamire achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a hat-trick of tries. His progress from the Under-18 and Under-20 levels to the senior squad reflects his determination and skill.

Jamie Blamire is regarded as a talented hooker with an attacking mindset, adding value to the Newcastle Falcons and making his mark on the international stage with England.
