Connacht Rugby head coach Stuart Lancaster reflected on a strong win over Black Lion, praising his side’s performance on the night. He spoke about his long-term vision for the Irish province and the foundations being built within the squad. While acknowledging there is still plenty of work ahead, Lancaster said he trusts the quality and potential of his players. See below:

On the other hand Black Lion head coach Richard Cockerill did not hold back in his assessment of his side’s performance in Galway. Admitting his team were second best throughout, Cockerill said they were “nowhere near in the game.” He concluded bluntly that the result reflected exactly what Black Lion deserved.
