The Western Force is delighted to confirm the addition of recently retired Wallaby Nic White to the Club’s coaching staff ahead of the 2026 Swyftx Super Rugby Pacific season.
White has joined the Club as one of four assistants to head coach Simon Cron. He will work as the assistant coach – skills.
The 35-year-old knows the playing squad and coaches well having spent the past two seasons at the Force, earning 23 caps.
He brings experience from a 77-cap international career with the Wallabies alongside 135 Super Rugby games across a 15-year career with the ACT Brumbies and Force.
He also brings leadership having been the Force’s vice-captain during the 2024 and 2025 campaigns and acted in similar roles within the Wallabies and Brumbies’ set-ups in the past.
Force head coach Simon Cron said: “We’re delighted to have Nic stay within our four walls and come on board as an assistant coach.
“He has a wealth of experience as a player, he’s familiar with our group and he’ll bring specialist insights for our developing players in a high mentorship role.
“He has a very competitive mentality that will help drive standards and expectations.
“For Nic, this role gives him an apprenticeship with specific targets and touchpoints and an insight into the other side of the game, coaching.”
White joins the coaching staff under Cron, alongside James Stannard (assistant coach – backs), Brad Harris (defence coach) and Craig Dunlea (forwards coach).
Cron added: “Nic’s appointment also allows symmetry from the coaching group and adds a different challenge to allow us to grow and evolve.”
White has already commenced in his role at the Force embedding himself in pre-season training.
White said: “This is an exciting step for me. This feels like the natural progression for me out of playing to move into coaching.
“I know this playing group really well and I feel that I’ve got heaps to offer them. My mind is still there but I can’t do it physically anymore.
“I can’t wait to work with the players and coaches and optimistic about where we can go.”
