Hinckley Vaovasa was born in Wellington, New Zealand and qualifies to play for Romania.
In 2017, he signed for CSM Bucuresti in Romania where he spent 2 years before joining Timișoara Saracens.
In 2021, Vaovasa joined Steaua București where he currently plays.
